I bought a set of new drums a couple of years back at a very very competitive price so even though the new drums are now a fair price a fraction what is would cost me to retain the original hubs.
My view give it a go, check the run-out and see where we are.
Of course only worthwhile if I can get hold of a set of 2nd hand rear hubs
