G80 is a locker/locking diff, whereas the Truetrac is a Torsen/helical diff. I've also seen clutch style diff's available for the 940 on fleabay. The "Detroit Locker" would be more akin to the G80.
The G80 is an investment, they don't come up for sale that often!
