Hello there , from memory , place cylinder head on a wooden / cardboard surface with a rag to pack the space below the valves . Get a deep socket to match the diameter of the valve collar & simply strike the socket with a hammer and the collets jump out from the valve stems , releasing the spring & cap
sometimes you cannot see the gap in the collets due to oil / gunk filling the gaps
