Clock spring out of position.
Further to my previous post and maybe a suggestion for the OP :-
The SAS on my XC70 refused to be calibrated until the steering wheel, airbag etc. had all been removed and the clock spring carefully centred and re-assembled. It appears that the steering column may have been up to a complete turn out of position during the work to replace the rack. How the clock spring didn’t run out of travel and get wrecked at full-lock is a miracle...
Very relieved to have got rid of the ‘Anti-skid service required’ message, finally.
