15 years ago a work friend of my mothers took her freshly-mot'd Fiesta into a high street tyre emporium for a puncture repair....
She called us up in tears after they said "did you really drive it here" and "it's dangerous" etc.....
They wanted around £600.00 for discs, pads, brake fluid etc etc.
I told her to say "jam it", get the keys back, and get the hell out of there.
I know there's some great trustworthy specialists out there but it's about time the motor trade were held accountable for some of their scams we hear about. Mind you a lot of customers don't help themselves when they drop cars off saying "just do whatever it needs" and "I want it to be safe" etc etc....
