99% of V40's here are D2, either the PSA one or the newer 88kw one (which I found out is made by Volvo)

I do not have the need for a more powerful car since I will be using it to get to and from work (around 40 km round trip on a highway) and occasional travels.

I found one example with the R design equipment pack, 2016 model year, with 150k kms on the clock. Price seems reasonable and the condition is okay on the pictures I still need to go and see the car in person, but I am wondering are these engines (D2, Volvo one to be precise since that is the one which is in this 2016 example) reliable and is there anything that I need to watch out for?

Thanks a lot!
Yes - the later Volvo engined D2s are very reliable. If it’s been well maintained that should do another 150km.
