After doing some research on here I've read that they have a timing chain as opposed to the belt so if true that's a plus.

Its a mazda mx engine a cracking trouble free engine... how nippy was it? The max power is in the 5000 - 7000 rpm range so dont forget to explore that end of the rev counter :-) ...
