I think a Gates cam belt kit is a decent replacement part. They have a good reputation.

Agreed. Whilst I always fit Volvo cambelts if I can, if for some reason I can't get hold of a genuine one in time, I'll fit a Gates or Continental belt.
Cosmicbike - re the oil, I usually fill my T5 engines with 10W40 in the summer and 5W40 in winter, (I tend to change the oil every 3-4k miles) so as yours is higher mileage, I'd be sticking with 10W40 year round as well. I change the oil filter once a year using either Volvo or Mann filters, as Mann manufacture the OEM ones (or at least they used to back in the 90s).
