Hello,
I've had a very irritating problem occur overnight. I locked my car as normal yesterday with the remote.
This morning I tried to unlock it with the remote and nothing happened. I tried a few times but it didn't unlock. I then unlocked the drivers door with the key which set the alarm off.
I started the engine with turned the alarm off. Tried to lock it with the keyfob but it didn't work.
I tried with the spare key, still didn't work. I tried changing the battery in the usual key and it still didn't work.
It was quite frosty this morning, after leaving the engine running for a few minutes I cleared the windows just in case that was obscuring something. Still no joy.
Any ideas? I did have questions about the car battery itself, it's been a bit sluggish starting lately.
The alarm sets itself after a few minutes as normal.
It's a 2004 D5 XC70.
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I forgot to add, there aren't any messages on the driver information module.
