You can pull the injector out and point it into a jar. Keep the electrical connection plugged in. Disable the ignition (pull the king lead?). Get someone to crank the engine on the key and watch the flow of fuel from the injector.

(Be careful of sparking HT leads anywhere near spraying fuel)


You should at most get flow for a few seconds then it should stop dead, no dribbling.

If it keeps spraying while cranking there is likely a problem with the thermotime switch in the back right side of the engine.

Next test, hotwire the fuel pump (join fuse locations 4 and 6 with a croc clip cable). And watch the injector. If you see anything come out of the injector at this point, the injector is faulty.
