Am I right to assume that, TCM reset is not necessary because I'm slowly changing the oil and thus giving the "adaptations" plenty of time to adapt?

Excel helped me see the light, didn't realise how long it's going to take by only dropping 900ml, so will do the ~3L changes from now on.

~900ml is what comes out when undoing the small torx screw.

That's my gut feeling, having seen Volvo Sweden to this, I understand why a garage would do it, but "we" don't have to. I look forward to eventually having red ATF in the autobox
