I'm gathering there's probably no way around this - unless I can find a unit with the exact same parameters as mine from a wrecker or eBay or similar.

I say this because, as research suggests, the layout of the centre console and all the buttons thereon have to be the same as on my model or they potentially won't work properly 🙄

So, not wanting to lose the rest of the functionality of the menus on the current screen (or any of them for that matter), it's a risk not worth taking.

Now looking at the "Carpuride" CarPlay/Android units which are seemingly the way to go with respect a working SatNav plus a wireless connection to my 'phone, as well as being able to play music through the V40's sound-system (more research &#128512
