Very similar to the above suggestion as the problem also occurs on the 240 model:~
Clean & repair with your favourite method & products.
Zink coat the metal/prime and top coat.
Etch prime the aluminium & top coat.
Separate the above with a descent gasket (ebay sell it in smaller sheet form)
Coat all parts with a wax treatment- allow to flash off and then fix all parts into place.
The next owner will love you!
