Perhaps it has something to do with the reflectivity of whatever is in there interfering with the sensor light beam. Or perhaps I'm just talking out of my arse because I don't understand how it works and my mass movement sensor has finally given up and that's why it no longer randomly triggers 🤔

A useful and humourous response! I've read many times about coins etc in the centre console causing random alarm triggers. My V70 alarm problem was diagnosed with Vida, it turned out to be a door handle micro switch.
