Question is does Meyle make belts for Volvo?
If so Auto doc does the air con stretch belt for £18 including p+p rather than the £40 including p+p for genuine. Autodoc site says they are original quality. Just wondering if anyone can confirm who makes belts for Volvo.

Thanks Paul.
Historicaly Volvo have always had several different suppliers for the same thing.
Girling, ATE
Hella , Cibie
Mahl , hepolite.....etc

when they brought out the 343 in 1976 they used the Renault 1397cc engine however after the first few months there was a recall to fit new Mahle pistons and Valves. They now last as long as traditional volvo engines, i changed lots of burned out valves in 1977!

Volvo tell the supplier what quality of part they want and it is usually higher than the other companies they supply. so that it why its sensible to buy the volvo version, why would you buy a lesser quality part from elsewhere for such a vital job...
