As I mentioned before, the original water pump had collapsed. This caused the belt to jump.
Head came off as there was no compression. Valves knackered.
The head has been to the machine shop and had new valves and guides. All cleaned up and tested. All good.
Its been in with Craig Moncrieff in Edinburgh and they have rebuilt it. Crank case vent pipes all replaced etc.
I should have got it back today but at the last moment I realised it needed an MOT. It passed that today with no advisories.

I should get it back tomorrow, if I get a moment. I am Looking forward but sadly it will be short lived as it will finally go up for sale. Despite all the work, it still does not change the fact its not LEZ compliant (but an XJR is, madly)
I just figured it still had years of service to give and why not fix it up so it can do that. Seemed a shame to break it over a few bent valves.

Will try to get a pic up when its back, why not.
Nice to hear you got the car sorted, but its sad to hear that you have to let it go because it doesn't meet emissions criteria.

What are you going to get to meet LEZ criteria?
