I have done 174k miles in an XC90 T8 (which is the heaviest of the XC90s). I have lugged heavy loads (had about 700kg in and on the car once).
I have - touch wood - never had a blow out and I can only remember a couple of punctures. I drive on a good selection of roads with plenty of potholes.
From new I deliberately specced a Momentum (softer suspension than the R Design at the time) and it had the smallest wheels (235/55 R19). I have never regretted my decision.
