That's relying on a computer though... it doesn't mean its correct. What about those that do oil changes on these cars and don't reset the oil level gauge via diagnostics, simply because they haven't got diagnostics?
If those that never lift the bonnet from one service to the next decide to open the bonnet, they still can't check the oil level anyway because there's no physical dipstick?
