SO- Volvo main dealer who had some software that gave me a written report which ended with the "suggestion" of an internal fault with the ABS module.!!!!. I suspect the CEM is faulty as the front and rear foglamps went out first and this is shown on the dealers report as the CEM, xenon lights -no signal. Do not know where to go next, hence your piece of kit sounds ideal. So who do I check with is the big question. Willingly pay the price if it is suitable.
VIDA is definitely a good investment. If you want to be able to read codes without paying the charges for diagnostics, it'll pay for itself in no time. If that's what you want, you definitely need this piece of kit.

However, reading codes is all good and well. Understanding the codes and fixing the issue is the next part.

In the nicest way possible (no offense intended), codes mean nothing if you don't know how to fix them.

I suggest you try another Volvo specialist. It doesn't sound like a DIY/at home fix that you're experiencing. This VIDA/DICE setup is definitely worth having though, just for diagnostics purposes alone.
