It certainly a learning curve.........I have fuel at the fuel distributor and fuel at the cold start valve, but no fuel from the top of the distributor
But if you leave the car sitting for 10 minutes or so, it starts and runs for about 4 seconds then conks out. It wont restart after this unless its left. I am starting to think the fuel distributor is not working properly or is worn out??
I am simply going to give up on this as it is becoming a bit too much for me to comprehend and after I packed up my tools, I pushed the air flap down to look inside as it is rather a mystery that the car starts when left with no fuel! I noticed the intake has a lot of fuel in it. This will be the reason that it starts after 10 minutes as the fuel isn't shutting off and I guess it is running inside where the plunger is. Could it be that the plunger is jamming and not letting fuel get to the top of the distributor and onto the injectors? If it is a jamming plunger would any one on here have a good working one i could try or buy please.
Any help guys would be greatly appreciated as no garage is interested in even talking to me.
