Coding locks - 480
Hi everyone,
I just picked up 5 locks for the 480s yesterday ( €264! ) because the keys have gone missing this past good while. Long story, but anyways due to the fact that a lot of the parts are showing up as 'obsolete' lately, the dealers could only get me the locks with the ignition on a different key. I don't want 2 keys, and the ignition looks messy to take apart.
Therefore I have to take apart the Boot / Glovebox / 2 door locks ... the new ones that is ... and match them with the new ignition lock.
Has anyone done this before, and any idea how difficult it is? Apparently I keep switching the plates around until the key goes in further and further ... sounds a bit creepy to me. Any thoughts / advice mucho appreciado!
