I was in the same boat as you with mine. I did some research and was reading it was well worth changing everything so I did! Thats means cambelt, auxiliary belt, tensioner, tensioner pulley, water pump....got the lot from a main dealer for about £130.
As for transmission fluid change I must admit I cheated and got my usual specialist to flush and replace.
