Thanks Steve,

Lets see where we both are in a week's time. Even though its costing me more. I agree with you, I will be happier to get back to an SMI rack. Hopefullly someone on the forum will know the answer to the TRW / SMI rack query ? perhaps its just what's on the assembly line bin at the time, ie pot luck if the Swedes fitted a TRW or SMI at the plant ?

Driving my C70 back last night, the TRW rack seems ok, but the volvo guy had not aligned my steering wheel straight so its turning slightly to the right in a straight line grrrrr. I'm not going to drive it much anyway until the replacement SMI comes in from ACS and I take it back and point this out to him so when he refits and charges me another £150.00, he can at least straighten up the steering wheel for me.
