I only had a quick look and it looked sheared, but I was expecting some sort of screw on pipe, so I may be in luck

I will nip out again after lunch and have a better look, and take some photos

it looks like a previos owner has bodged it, as there are 2 tye wraps and some sort of home made clamp arrangement on it.
