As 40 year old cars go these two are not beyond redemption, but both in my view would need quite a bit of bodywork restoration, and certainly more than I'm capable of doing, which is why I wouldn't want to buy either of them.
Practical Classics magazine has a Condition 3 164 valued at around the £300 mark, and that definition can include a road-legal car with an MoT, but acknowledges that a lot of fairly significant work would be needed.
This particular sale included a lot of new and used spares too, so for someone with the space, skills and budget to do the work, the project has potential.
