Does anyone know if the XC90 bolts which have been prescribed as a fix for this issue (part# 30714142) will fit my 2002 S60 2.4 BiFuel?

The information I have read seems to suggest that this fix is only for the later models, and I don't want to spend £35 on the XC90 bolts only to find they are not the correct part.

If I cannot positively confirm that they will fit, I think I am going to go with a new set of S60 bolts with a little help from some Loctite, and maybe also some pipe sealing compound on the axle splines.

Any input will be very gratefully appreciated.

Cheers,
Paul
The XC90 bolts are fine.
Spend the money.
The part of the bolt assembly you want is the rubber cone-washer, which comes off - for subsequent disassemblies.
Don't use any adhesives or sealants on the splines or you'll have a nice time trying to split the shaft/hub and cleaning them up at next disassembly.
And anyway, with the XC90 bolt, no adhesives will be required.
