I know someone who has built his own system and uses it on a derv engine. He recons that he see's a 20 - 30% saving on fuel. I'm not so sure the results would be so good on a petrol engine.

I think the results of adding Hydrogen to a derv are much the same as adding LPG. With a derv engine not all the fuel is burnt hence the soot. When you add LPG you will get a much more complete burn resulting in better MPG and more power.

What results are likely to be on a petrol engine I don't know. I have read a little in the past on some US forums and there pleanty of ppl claiming to be making big savings with home built systems.
