VIDA provides quite a wealth of information which helps you identify and rectify problems before they get serious enough.
Example:
My car was showing an injector issue on #5 cylinder occasionally.
Not enough to trigger a dashboard warning lamp, but the issue was logged
By observing the logs I made a decision to inspect the injectors, and found oxidized connectors, and a loom pressed hard against the injector body.
I cleaned all the connections, tied back the loom, and the problem was solved.
I was never off the road, I never had an engine malfunction, because I used the logs to alert me to a problem starting to occur.
