I agree with 142g...the wheel in the picture of first posting should be gracefully retired, and serve further as a coffee table in a Mancave, or some similar decorative duty, but it should never again have a tire mounted, and turn on a road!
142g; Yes...accepting a design with Galvanic action built-in was not one of the brighter moments of whomever signed off on that for Volvo (I guess even they have moments of weakness!).
