Hi folks, think my alternator has died (dash warning etc) and seems a common issue on the 2.0d.

Just before I order a new one does anyone know how I could identify if my 159k mile estate is running the standard 120 amp or has previously been upgraded to the 150 amp version (my problem would be the software update needed). Can't see any reference in the history.

Can't see the part number on the unit itself (is it underneath or hidden by the engine block? ). Just wondering if any quick way of finding ouy. I.e diagnostic port etc.
