I have a 2013 v40 D2 R design, and a similar thing happened to me yesterday, I drove a short distance and noticed the heater in the car was only blowing out cool air, then I got the warning of engine overheating and to safely stop. The radiator fan carried on going and the engine seemed to cool down quite quickly, I continued driving and this happened a further two times over a short distance.
Any ideas??
