My two penneth - it is probably not worth it.
It is a forced induction engine where the airflow/boost is managed electronically so if a slightly less free-flowing filter is fitted, it just sucks a bit harder on full chat.
Hence I doubt you will notice any difference, other than a lighter wallet.
If it was a normally aspirated engine like the 3.2 or V8 then I would have a go.
You could always take the existing air filter element out and go for a short drive to see if it make any difference...
