I want to buy the anti squeal shims.
I dropped by today to an auto parts shop to see if they are still available from Volvo (genuine parts) and their price.
I was stunned to find out that there are 2 types of shims available for my 240 with Girling front calipers: one called just shim and the other one called shim stainless.

The strangest thing is that the stainless shim is cheaper that the "normal" one (made of steel I suppose).

That's not the main difficulty for me.
The problem is that I am not sure (I don't know) which one fits my calipers
Any of the 2, both???

If anyone can help I'd be very grateful.
