Default P1800 Rev Counter not working

Hello
I am the proud owner of a 1963 P1800. See below
It's dark blue with a red interior, but it has a rev counter that does not rev!
I took it to a Automobile Electrical Specialist today to see if they could sort it out or give me some guidance on sorting it out.
They had a look at the wiring diagram and the car and told me they couldn't find the tachometer sender that the distributor is connected to before it connects to the tachometer.
Does anyone know where this tachometer sender is located and what it might look like?
I suppose I can get a new or second hand one from somewhere?

The wiring diagram just says "P1800 models" so I suppose there could be alternative layouts for such things.

Any advice or suggestions warmly welcomed.
Many thanks
Charlie
