Exactly the same as me GVM, 12 month 10-12k doesn't waste the oil yet changes it before a steeper trend of degradation sets in.
In my wifes octavia on variable service which monitors the oil, you must change it immediately (so vag state) the car asks for it, every 16k near enough the oil has been changed throughout its life, which means that for vw507 long life oil in a pd at least, its officially dead at circa 16k.
