Had the same on a BMW part some years ago. A plastic part for the internal passenger door handle for an E36 3-Series that kept falling off.

Was working on contract and each day passed a BMW dealer. Eventually plucked up the courage to drop in on the way home, having estimated the price in my mind starting at 5.00 on the first day and up to 25.00+++ when I finally went in.

Price was actually 2.50 and collected it the following day with a big smile on my face.
