Electrical[lighting] issues can be just bulbs, the left-right circuitry mysteries associated with headlights or the dread FLOODED CAR.
We Americans watch for flooded cars -which has a standardized notation on states' registration forms- the way you fear the taxman.
Go see it. See if it has premium tires on it (a distraction?). See if the carpet sparkles in direct Sunlight (evidence of the super cleaners used post flood) also look under and up behind the dash for corrosion.
I touched a steering rack boot once and my hand got drenched with PS fluid so do that too.
Always drive a car (with auto) 'til hot.
Remember the car caveat....never buy someone's old muscle car. It is said that the "R"'s are very different animals.
