As far as I know ALL Uk 740's with carb engines had the Heron Head variant. 240's did get the 'normal' B230K, but it was a rare beast.

The easiest way to tell a B230K from a B230KH (given the blocks are not stamped K or KH) is to look at the head - if the last 3 digits are 530 it's a K, if they're 630 it's a KH.
