Personally I wouldn't bother with anything other than a 2012 model for two reasons:
1) Bluetooth music streaming is a godsend as you can control Spotify etc via the steering controls. Nobody uses MP3 players anymore, which means the (rather good) mp3 connectivity that the older C30's had is a bit pointless in today's music streaming age.
2) The additional 'Auto' DRL light switch position, meaning that the headlamps won't be toast as they finally have separate LED DRLs, instead of using the headlamps.
We have a 2012 C30 and the headlamps on it (halogen) are REALLY good, and I suspect the sole reason for this is because they aren't permanently on, like in the pre 2011 cars. (All cars manufactured after 2011 in the UK must have a separate DRL system), hence the new 'Auto' headlight option.
