Reading this full thread does intimate that even the franchised dealers are not immune to ignorance of the complicated nature of this box.
It has been suggested to me that the service schedule is 3 years or 50,000 miles whichever comes first but I have no guarantee that is correct.
Popping into any main dealer is not that easy anymore as all the local franchises have closed. The main reason I use this local garage after my cars get to three years old is not cost but convenience. It is five minutes walk from my home.
Should the need arise there is a Ford main dealer in the area who may be a better option.
