Unless the engine is tired or using a lot of oil I would not bother with 20w-50 especially with winter coming on.

Thanks Guy, much appreciate the advice re 20w50 vs 10w40 this time of year. That's why I was (am) keen on a 10w30 per the manual.
However, totally understand the minimal variance between 10w30 vs 10w40.
Fuchs Classic 10w40 looks and reads pretty good.
