My first Volvo was an 850, I loved it and kept it for 12 years until my mate offered me his ex duty free Merc C220 CDI estate for funny money. For the 2 years I owned the Merc I regretted ever selling my Volvo so when the XC70 I now own came up for sale - 3 years old, one previous owner and with only 32,000 miles on the clock - it was a no-brainer.

I have driven the XC70 all over Europe from southern Spain to Croatia in all weathers and it has never let me down despite driving in 30+C heat in Spain to -20C in Austria and Slovenia driving over deep snow. The car has just gone through the "new" MoT test and apart from a new yaw sensor - the "DSTC Service Required" warning came on intermittently - that was the only pick up point.
