IF it's really too expensive for you or IF it's too large a job to fiddle with or IF you plain don't give a s#!t you can always remove the hoop of plastic the locking pin goes through.

When I fixed my fuel door hinge I dropped the door and broke the hoop off. I glued it back on and all was well but I could have lived with it "unlockable". I don't recall if the door swung about without the lock or not.
