Well I had my ETM replaced today by my local Volvo Main STEALER!
They wanted £525 to fit and install !!!!
ETM was £294+ vat, they wanted 1.8 hours labour to fit the new ETM and do the data upload / install. Er I dont think so m8!!!!
I had to remind them that the car was a Non turbo and the ETM could be removed by me in 2 minutes ( I have re-routed the cable so it did not go behind the starter motor) they then gave me a new quote of £411 fitted which included half an hours labour at a cost of £47.50 ! ( £95 per hour for labour) and £0.50p for the software install and upgrade.............basically I had to pay it as they are the only Volvo Stealer within 30 miles of me!
The ETM they fitted was one with a WHITE SPOT !!!! So it is going to fail again !!!
So it cost me £411 today !
I'm so ****ed of with the car breaking down all the time and costing a fortune to fix that I will be getting rid of it ASAP!
And dont even get me started on BBA-Remans.....................
