I have one of the genuine Volvo XC90 foldable 'mesh' dog guards / cargo nets available as I have just swapped to a V50. This is in 'as new' condition and does keep your dog in the bit of the car you want them to be in (I have bought another one for the V50) and can also be removed, folded and stored in the car when not needed.
