I replaced it because supposedly it is linked to errors with the vacuum and turbo in a D5 (official dealer said this, I didn't understand why) and it had oil IN the connector.
The new one had oil in the connector within 3 weeks (!!!) and another dealer denied any link between the PCV heater and the vacuum... (Obviously it changed none of my problems, just made my cash shortage a little worse...)
