Correct, the message is unnecessarily persistent and takes several minutes to clear from the display. But I don't think it's a fault (mine is still the same).

As you can see from my posts from earlier in the thread, shortly after buying my car I also thought it was an indication of a fault when I first noticed these messages. However I now do believe that it's absolutely normal and there is actually some logic behind the messages, and the advice I received from post #20 onwards is correct.
