so you had the car back with the door module fitted and working and test drove it? Or the garage just told you this?

I understand you wanting to give them benefit of the doubt, but before fitting a new door module it is well know on these cars there can be CEM plug issues. They should inspect this (takes no time) before fitting the door module. You have no way of knowing if this was needed, and neither do they now.
