Tbat might just be unswept area, or it might be a problem I have just faced; the hump on top of the pads, and the caliper, don't go together properly, thus the top of the pad is clamped onto disc whilst the bottom leaves a gap.
I cut/filed the pads down on the top, still not perfect tbh but I was struggling for time/tools/etc so it had to do. The previous pads had worn really wonky. These are better than previous, but I may get some more next month, properly sort the top out, and swap em.
