Mines a 2003 P2 like the OP’s. This is what my handbrake mechanism looks like. Actuating mechanism one side.....
....flat bar on the other.
No handbrake adjustment at this end unless someone has retro fitted the adjuster. Which you don’t actually need if everything is maintained properly.
